Why I chose Pitt

There is a lot of exciting research going on here. There are hundreds of good labs to choose from. It is among the top five institutions in NIH funding. Besides, Pittsburgh is a great city to live in.

Following her graduation, Dr. Mayekar received an offer as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Dr. Peter Johnson at the NIH, National Cancer Institute at Frederick.
